| "God has given each of you a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another." 1 Peter 4:10
God has molded and shaped each one of us with very special gifts. He means for us to use our gifts to serve Him and build up the body of Christ. At Life Church, we provide many different serving opportunities. The best part is...if you start serving in one area and you find that it is not the best fit, we will personally help you find your sweet spot. Look over the list of serving teams, put a check next to the team you would like to join and you will get a phone call this week. You won't believe how much joy you will experience as you serve God using the gifts He has given you! We DARE you to unwrap your gift and sign up to join one of our teams.
Greeting
The Greeting Team is one of our "First Touch" ministries. The purpose of this team is to make every person that approaches Life Church feel welcome and at home. We welcome people with a smile, help them with their name tag, and show them around if this is their first time visiting Life Church. You can commit to one service a week or one service a month-whatever works for you.

Prayer Team
It all begins with prayer. Prayer unleashes God's power to do more than we could ask or imagine. The responsibility of the Prayer Team member is very important. The Prayer Team members have the opportunities to plan and organize prayer vigils, recruit prayer team members, send out weekly prayer emails and pray for the requests and needs that are e-mailed in. The goal of the Prayer team is to create an environment of prayer by teaching others how to pray and how to create a lifestyle with prayer as the emphasis.

KidsLife
Shepherd - Someone who will sit with the (elementary) children, sing with the children and be in the room before, during and after service with the goal of building a Christ-like, mentoring relationship with the children in their care. Shepherds will oversee the same "group" of children each week (ie. 1st grade boys or 3rd grade girls)
Coach - This person is in charge of the shepherds for a specific service and arrives no later than 30 minutes before service starts. They gather the teachers and helpers together for a prayer time and ensure that all the KidsLife ministry workers have arrived and are in their classrooms at least 15 minutes before class. During the week they will also call all workers to remind them of their obligation and fill in when any of the workers call out or don't arrive on time.
4th/5th grade boy's teacher (11:00 service) - 2-3 men are needed to co-teach a Sunday school class geared to boys in the 4th and 5th grade.
Classroom helpers - This person will arrive 30 minutes before service with the intent of helping the classroom teacher with crafts, snack and story time.
Preschool workers - We need several people to step into our 2 weeks on/4 weeks off rotation in the nursery, 2's and preschool classes.
Administrative Helpers - These individuals will help with phone calling, copying, craft prep, filling and/or putting together a monthly newsletter.
Craft organizer - Ideally, KidsLife would have a simple craft set up that children that want to can make or create between services and we need someone to organize this craft.
Children's Choir Director - Runs weekly choir practices for the children of KidsLife. Practices will be from 5:30-6:30 and Wednesday nights (just before AWANA). The kids will perform for Christmas Eve and possibly Easter and maybe one or two other times throughout the year. The director will also help with the Children's Christmas Program.

Student Ministries
Sunday service
This is a place for Junior High and High School students to hear Truth. It's designed to have a spiritual atmosphere. This is not church like you'd expect. The people are cool and students will hear practical messages that will help them connect with God in a real, meaningful way.
Greeter - It is important that the leaders meet new students and greet each new student and help them get connected with other students. It is an important part of the ministry for all volunteers to greet, learn names, talk to and encourage students to attend other programs, and help create an accepting atmosphere. This role can eventually evolve into teaching opportunities, upfront time, and much more.
Announcements - Announcements are a quick way to keep all students informed on what is going to be taking place in the upcoming weeks. Volunteers who are assigned to handle the announcements should be fun, outgoing and have a lot of energy.
Door - Hanging out with students at the end of every service allows the students to feel valued and a part of the youth group. It is an effective ministry tool to stand at the door when students are leaving and engage in conversation.
Worship - We are always looking for gifted people to help lead worship on Sunday mornings. If you play an instrument or sing we would love to have you be involved
Set Up Team - If you like to help out with behind the scenes, we can use people to help setup for Sunday mornings, such as getting doughnuts, making photo copies and hanging banners and signs.
Saturday night service and outreach
This is an important program to build individual relationships with students. The service consists of attending 6:00 pm Saturday night service in the main sanctuary and after spending time with students in an outreach environment.
Ministry Teams - Ministry teams are groups of students and volunteers who are involved in an area of ministry based on their desires and gifts. We would love to have all of our students committed to serving in a ministry. Examples of these ministry teams include music, greeting, service projects, publicity, audio/visual, organizing special events, etc. The options are limitless and the ministry experience is invaluable.
Ministry Team Leader - This role oversees the organizing and implementation of one of the several ministries. Most teams will be staffed by students and coached by an adult.
Connecting - This role is to oversee the Student leadership team who is on the Connecting Team. The goal of the Connecting Team is to connect with students on a weekly basis by calling, texting and facebooking current and new students.
Discipleship - This role is to oversee the Student leadership team who is on the Discipleship Team. The goal of the Discipleship Team is to help develop curriculum for IGNITE and Sunday morning services as well as to disciple other students in their walk with God.
Vision - The role is to oversee the Student leadership team who is on the Vision Team. The goal of the Vision Team is to help create outreach and evangelism activities from concept to activity.
Missions - If you love to plan vacations and trips we are planning a Mission trip to Honduras April 5th-13th. We could use your help planning this trip!
High School Ignite -Thursday night High School Bible Study
This is a key program for making our large group feel small. Students meet at church for bible study and then break into small groups for interaction, prayer requests, and accountability.
Small Group Leader - In general, most of our new volunteers start out as small group leaders. This is an opportunity to build relationships and to serve a group of students that you can care for, encourage, pray with, and follow up with during the week. There is a separate packet available for tips on leading a small group.
